How it works
Cyclosporine binds to cyclophilin. The complex then inhibits calcineurin which is normally responsible for activating transcription of interleukin 2. Cyclosporine also inhibits lymphokine production and interleukin release.

Hypertension, gingival hypertrophy, hypertrichosis, paraesthesia, hepatoxicity, tremor, hyperkalaemia., acne, facial oedema

What is Cyclosporine?
Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressive drug meaning it suppresses your body’s immune power. Cyclosporine oral is sold under various trade names, a couple of which are Sandimmune and Panimum (made by Panacea (India)).
